What does it mean to be a member in good standing?
Any employee who works in a CUPE 5441 bargaining unit across Unity Health Toronto can become a member in good standing;
- Simply fill out the Member in Good Standing Application Form
- If you would like a clean printable version of the form, click here.
- Email completed forms to this address support@cupe5441.ca or bring a completed form to Swag Day
- The membership will vote to accept the form at the next General Membership Meeting
- Finally take the Oath of Membership
For ease of reference the process is laid out in this Chart. Only a member in good standing can fully participate in the activities of CUPE 5441 and National Union. This means only a member in good standing can attend and vote at General Membership Meetings, run for any elected Union positions, vote in those elections, and participate as a delegate of CUPE 5441.
For a more detailed explanation, check out this CUPE National webpage. Any employee who is not a member in good standing remains a Rand Formula payee.
