International Women’s Day March 8

As we welcome March 8th known as International Women’s Day, let’s acknowledge all women, women of colour, creed, ethnicity, race, gender and religion. Let’s celebrate how far we have come, and what we have strived for today, tomorrow and for the future generations to come.

International Women’s Day is a time to lift up mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, daughters, and friends for their strength, love and bravery.

International Women’s Day was first established in 1909. Serious problems like discrimination, sexual assault, the glass ceiling and the pay gap still persist, even today.

          Women’s rights are human rights.

          Empowering women empowers humanity.

Break barriers, shatter ceilings. Equality, justice, freedom for all.

That’s why it’s important to remember and celebrate female trailblazers, from Susan B. Anthony who fought for women’s rights to Malala Yousafzai fighting for women’s education.

These International Women’s Day quotes are the perfect way to honor powerful women and the important contributions they’ve made and to recognize the power that lives inside each and everyone of us when we choose to use our voices.

Quotes from strong women from Maya Angelou to Greta Thunberg, these inspiring quotes will help you celebrate women today and everyday.

1: I encourage women to step up. Don’t wait for somebody to ask you.”
“Reese Witherspoon”

2: Friends. Sisters. Mothers. Professors. When women affirm women, it unlocks our power. It gives us permission to shine brighter.

3: I have learned you are never too small to make a difference.
