February is Black History Month, also known as African Heritage Month. Black History Month is a time to celebrate and highlight the best of Black History and culture, and to honour the ancestors and upcoming leaders of Black communities, their accomplishments and their continued fight for liberation.

As we celebrate Black History month, February 1st to February 28th a time for Canadians to celebrate the many achievements and contributions of Black Canadians and their communities who, throughout history, have done so much to make Canada the culturally diverse, compassionate, and prosperous nation it is today.
Let us celebrate their accomplishments, and their continued light for liberation.
